New Creative and Digital Media Apprenticeship Published: 07/12/2011 Pearson in Practice, the UK’s leading provider of Apprenticeship training is set to shake up the Creative and Digital Media sector with a new Apprenticeship programme. As well as offering a general understanding and skills relevant to the sector, this unique Apprenticeship includes the Adobe Certified Associate Certification, which covers training in Adobe products such as Photoshop, Flash or Dreamweaver. In an ever-changing industry, the Apprenticeship will develop employees who are multi-skilled and able to work across a variety of digital platforms – from video production, digital imaging, design and web development. Companies will able to develop existing employees, or Pearson in Practice is able help them find talented young recruits for new roles. Apprenticeships are considered the gold standard for on the job training in the UK with more than 100,000 employers offering programmes. They play an important role in the Government’s plan to growing skills in the UK economy and are increasingly recognised as a way of creating a workforce who have the skills and the attitude that employers want and need. The programme will last for nine months, with apprentices completing eight weeks off-the-job training at a Pearson in Practice training centre. The programme follows on from Pearson in Practice’s successful Zenos Apprenticeship Programme for ICT Practitioners.
