The Learning Agreement – our commitment to the learner

At Pearson in Practice we are committed to delivering the right training, to the right people, in the right way. To ensure we live up to this commitment, and that you get the most out of your time with us, we have created the Learning Agreement; what you  can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Pearson in Practice will provide:

  • A high quality and relevant programme of learning.
  • Respect, courtesy and to treat all learners fairly.
  • An experienced learning, teaching and assessment team.
  • An Individual Learning Plan.
  • Support and guidance for you and your employer
  • Objective assessments and regular feedback.
  • A dedicated Learner Liaison Officer to provide support and guidance and regular two-way communication.

And we expect our learners:

  • To make a positive commitment and contribution to your learning and development.
  • To undertake all training and learning as agreed in the Individual Learning Plan.
  • To attend all assessments or training sessions as agreed, on time and notify absences in good time.
  • To inform the Tutor promptly of any issues or concerns that may affect your  learning or completion of the programme in order that we can provide any necessary help and support.
  • To contribute and take an active role in progress reviews.
  • To provide a range of evidence requested on time and to meet agreed targets.
  • To observe the health and safety requirements of the programme and the responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • To treat staff, fellow learners and others with courtesy and to respect the beliefs, values and cultures of others.
  • To contribute to learner feedback and consultation to help us improve our services.
  • To abide by and accept the responsibilities with regard to all requests and recommendations made in respect of Safeguarding.
