The Learning Agreement

At Pearson in Practice we are committed to delivering the right training, to the right people, in the right way. To ensure we live up to this commitment, and that our employers and learners get the most out of working with us, we have created the Learning Agreement; what employers can expect from us, and what we expect from employers that we work with.

Pearson in Practice will provide:

  • The right training, to the right people, in the right way.

  • Excellent customer service and timely support.

  • High quality, learner focused, employer-driven training and support.

  • Provide information, advice and guidance to employers and learners to ensure objectives are met.

  • Provide initial and diagnostic assessments to determine learner skills levels, including preferred learning styles.

  • A flexible and timely approach to training and assessment to minimise the disruption to your companies daily objectives.

  • Provide guided learning and assessment tailored to individual requirements.

  • Provide registration and final completion services, ensuring all aspects of the programme are delivered to a high standard and outcomes have been met.

We ask employers to..

  • To allow learners paid time out of their normal working hours as specified in their Individual Learning Plan (ILP).

  • To provide, (if required) evidence for the Skills Funding agency / Brokers, for example, contracts of employment / evidence of wage payments.

  • To notify us promptly if you become aware of any reasons or factors that may impact on the learner’s ability to achieve their training and qualification requirements.

  • To allow Tutors access to your learner in a flexible and timely manner with prior agreed arrangement.

  • An ongoing commitment to reviewing your learners’ progress and setting targets for their progression.

  • Provide a healthy and safe working environment to include information, support and training to allow your learner to carry out their job role safely.

  • Provide a non-discriminatory working environment, free from bullying, harassment and threat and to respect your learners’ beliefs, values and culture.

  • To notify us as soon as possible if your learner has either left your employment or is working their notice period.

  • From time to time you may be asked to speak to/allow access to external organisations such as Ofsted or the SFA. These organisations look at the quality of delivery and financial aspects of the WBL programmes we deliver.

  • To contribute to learner and employer feedback and consultation to help us improve our services.
