Dean Johnson works as a heavy goods driver for a midlands based construction and aggregates business. Dean recently became one of the first people to gain an English qualification with Pearson in Practice, through our Skills for Life: Skills for Business programme at the same time as achieving an NVQ in Carry and Deliver Goods at Level 2.

At school, my dyslexia was diagnosed too late and I left education without a Maths or English qualification. Taking my NVQ provided me with the chance to also finally get qualified in English and Maths. The whole process has been simple; the Learning World tutor came to me at my work place. I passed my English first time with 90 per cent! Now I’m getting everything together to get my Maths ualification too.
