Health and Social Care
The health and social care sector comprises of over 2 million people employed by the NHS, as well as voluntary and private healthcare providers. The range of roles within the sector is very varied, with the NHS careers website listing around 300 different jobs. Our Intermediate or Advanced Level Apprenticeship equips apprentices with key skills which will help them pursue employment within the industry.
Duration
The Intermediate programme runs for approximately 12 months, the Advanced programme for approximately 18 months. All apprentices will complete part of their training in the workplace and part in a Pearson in Practice Training Centre.
All learners study for the following qualifications:
- Edexcel Level 2 (Intermediate) Diploma in Health and Social Care or Edexcel Level 3 (Advanced) Diploma in Health and Social Care
- Edexcel Level 2 (Intermediate) BTEC Certificate in Preparing to work in Adult Social Care or Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Preparing to work in Adult Social Care or Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Preparing to work in Adult Social Care
