We recognise that there are potential concerns for employers in deciding whether to take on an apprentice:

How will you recruit a good apprentice?
Can you make the commitment during the current economic climate?
Will you be able to support them? What about HR/Payroll?

To make taking on an apprentice as simple, flexible and affordable as possible, we have created the Pearson in Practice Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA).

We support employers who cannot currently commit to employing an apprentice but know that they will need fully trained employees to help future growth. We can help with recruitment, payroll, apprentice support and all areas of the Apprenticeship where employers need help.

The ATA employs the apprentice. We place them with a host employer and charge that host employer a fee that pays the apprentice’s wages and helps us to cover our costs. We take away the risk from you taking on an apprentice.
